DVOŘÁK SYMPHONY NO 9 – FROM THE NEW WORLD
In one of Dvořák’s most played and beloved works, the symphony he wrote during his years in the United States, he lets the Czech musical tradition meet Native American influences, here interpreted by the acclaimed conductor Elim Chan. Elizabeth Ogonek’s intense piece In Silence was inspired by baroque composer Heinrich Ignaz von Biber, and written for violinist Benjamin Beilman, who visits the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra for the first time.
The concert will be broadcasted on the Swedish Radio P2 on November 11 at 7.03 pm.
